Mental Health Resource Fair 2010
Addressing the Needs of the Dual Diagnosed Offender Population
CSO Shani Spivey greets a client at the Mental Health Resource Fair which was held on Thursday, July 15, 2010, at St. Luke's Church.
CSOSA Management and Program Analyst Hal Williams provided participants with information on faith-based resources in the community, contributing to the goal of minimizing offenders' risk to re-offend.
The event attracted 21 community partners that provided information on resources and services to the more than 250 offenders in attendance in the areas of housing, health care, employment/training and mentoring. The theme was "Addressing the Needs of the Dual Diagnosed Offender Population." All of the offenders on each of the six Mental Health Teams were invited to participate in the fair.
