Offender Processing Units

CSOSA's Offender Processing Units (Branch VIII) are located at:

They are responsible for registering offenders for supervision and gathering the background information required to determine the appropriate supervision team assignment for the offender. The Offender Processing Units also assign offenders for pre-, post-sentence, and interstate investigations requested by the D.C. Superior Court, Transitional Intervention for Parole Supervision (TIPS) investigations for the Bureau of Prisons and Interstate Compact investigations for offenders from other jurisdictions.

Processing of offender information, needs assessments and case assignment functions are managed by specialized teams that are also responsible for the operation of a central filing system for the storage of current and archival offender records.
