Sex Offender Supervision
Sex Offender Supervision (Branch VII) , is comprised of three specialized sex offender supervision teams which provide assessment, supervision and treatment monitoring services to convicted sex offenders. These teams also work in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police Department in coordinating oversight responsibility for the registration of all convicted sex offenders in the District of Columbia.
Branch VII also provides Global Positioning System (GPS) Electronic Monitoring services to Court-ordered probationers, as well as high-risk parole and probation offenders referred by the general supervision and special supervision teams as a condition of sanctions-based supervision requirements now in place throughout the Agency.
