CSOSA Office of Professional Responsibility

The Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) conducts administrative investigations on misconduct issues that have been raised by a complainant. The OPR reports directly to the Director/Deputy Director, and is responsible for conducting reviews or investigations on possible instances of internal violation of laws or regulations, mismanagement, gross waste of funds, abuse of authority, substantial and specific danger to public health and safety, and allegations of employee misconduct.

The purpose of OPR investigations is to determine if allegations of employee misconduct are substantiated or not substantiated. The OPR investigative reports when completed are reviewed by the Office of General Counsel for legal sufficiency, and then forwarded to the Office of Human Resources for consultation with the appropriate management officials. The initial decision on whether disciplinary action is warranted or not warranted is made by the appropriate management officials, in consideration of the OPR findings and conclusion.
