WHO WE ARE | About the Interim Director
Marcus Hodges became the Interim Director of the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) on December 5, 2025.
Mr. Hodges joined CSOSA in March 2017 as the Associate Director (AD) of CSOSA’s Office of Community Supervision and Intervention Services (OCSIS). In that role, he oversaw the agency’s supervision operations and advanced the agency’s mission to effectively supervise adults under our jurisdiction to enhance public safety, reduce recidivism, support the fair administration of justice, and promote accountability and success through the implementation of evidence-based practices in close collaboration with our criminal justice partners and the community.
Prior to CSOSA, Mr. Hodges began his esteemed career in public service in 1992, when he joined the Virginia Department of Corrections, where he would eventually become Chief Probation and Parole Officer.
Throughout his career he has remained committed to promoting programs and processes that support the reintegration of justice-involved individuals into the community. His innovative and strategic approach to risk management, offender programming, and robust processes for reintegration success are guided by his experience working in prisons and community corrections. Mr. Hodges also currently serves as the President of the American Probation and Parole Association.
Mr. Hodges holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice from Virginia Union University and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from Florida Metropolitan University.
